#FundMovements

The @OccupyWallStNYC team were never contacted as to the appropriate messaging for the event "Protest to Power" held at the Ford Foundation and online via #FundMovements. As a member of the larger online networked social movement that supports the radical left, organized outside of neoliberalism, we default to an anarchist critique when looking at an institution of the 1%, such as the Ford Foundation.

We acknowledge that foundations want to support social movements, but we believe they need to be keenly aware of the way in which the system of philanthrocapitalism exercises power and protects privilege and how that brings a real potential for the weakening and co-optation of working class demands.
