The NYC Anarchist Film Festival, now in its 9th year, is looking for contributions for its upcoming April 17 screening. We are looking for films that celebrate the spirit of resistance against the domineering forces of the state and capitalist economic system and all forms of social repression. The NYC Anarchist Film Festival is an interactive community forum where we invite discussion, and strive to realize the potential of resistance movements despite the limitations of the corporate police/surveillance/terror state. Your passion, discussion and creativity welcomed!
Criteria for video submission: We prefer short videos (10 min or less), and those made within the past year or so, but will consider videos of any length--especially if we can screen it in part if we don't have time to screen the entire film--and time period. Please include a short statement about what the film is about, its connection to revolutionary culture and/or politics, as well as a short bio of the creator(s). Filmmakers are encouraged to attend film festival in NYC and present their videos.
